2008 FIA Formula One Sprint Cup Winners
A total of 7 teams signed up to compete in the 2008 Formula One Championship which commenced on March 16th and concluded on November 2nd. Eighteen Grand Prix races were held and Lewis Hamilton emerged the World Champion. Hamilton could be considered a 3-time champion because not only did he walk home with the coveted World Champion title but he was also the youngest driver to ever win the Championship and the first black person to do so as well. He was the second British driver to win the Championship, following Damon Hill in 1996. Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro won the Constructors' title.
Several new cars were launched for the 2008 World Championship races. Two teams (Force India-Ferrari and Toro Rosso-Ferrari) started the season wth updated versions of their 2007 car.

- Constructor: BMW Sauber. Chassis: F1.08. Launched on January 14th in Munich, Germany.
- Constructor: Red bull-Renault. Chassis: RB4. Launched on January 16th in Circuito Permanente de Jerez, Spain.
- Constructor: Honda. Chassis: RA108. Launched on January 29th in Brackley, UK.
- Constructor: Renault. Chassis: R28. Launched on January 31st in Paris, France.
- Constructor: Force India-Ferrari. Chassis: VJM-01. Launched on February 7th in Mumbai, India
- Constructor: Williams-Toyota. Chassis: FW30.
- Constructor: Toro Rosso-Ferrari. Chassis: STR3
- Constructor: Super Aguri-Honda. Chassis: SA08
